We use silicone gaskets and sealed cable glands to lock the internals away from the elements. Without them, condensation just creeps in and hangs out inside the chassis. That’s how you get short circuits or a heating element that burns out way too early. By keeping the fog and splashes out, the internal resistance stays steady. It just works.
Dealing with the Heat (and the Cold)
Outdoor gear takes a beating. One minute it’s freezing, the next the heater is cranking out massive heat. That constant expanding and contracting can snap cheap seals. We picked materials that move at the same pace, so nothing cracks under pressure. We also make sure the unit can breathe—letting air move without letting water sneak in. The Trade-offs
